After School

The BACR philosophy about after school programs extends far beyond keeping children safe. We believe in providing a nurturing and enjoyable environment where students can improve their academic skills, and we believe in integrating the principles and practices of youth development into all after school activities. We believe it is our responsibility to understand and meet the needs of schools, students and parents.

Services
We have been providing after school programs for over two decades. Currently we operate programs at 25 schools in Oakland, 6 schools in San Rafael, 9 schools in San Francisco and 3 schools in East Palo Alto. We are the fiscal sponsor for over 40 schools in San Francisco and West Contra Costa County.

New Perspectives San Francisco

Simply put, our after-school programs are run with passion. From administrators to site coordinators and program leaders our goal is to hire committed staff and transfer that passion for educational equity into every one of our programs.

With over 30 years experience in after-school programming, BACR strives to create partnerships with schools, parents and community organizations that share our vision in order to strengthen communities.

It is my honor to be working in the Mission district of San Francisco in a vibrant community with a strong network of families, educators and community organizations working with a common goal of serving the children and families of san Francisco.

With that goal in mind, we currently work with the following organizations to provide the highest quality programming for our students:
