Reyna Hamilton

Reyna is an Oakland native, a BIPOC educator, a maker, a tinkerer, a lifelong learner, and a passionate STEM communicator. She has over 25 years of experience working with families, communities and learners of all ages throughout the greater Bay Area. Reyna currently serves as the Program Director for Public Engagement Programs at UC Berkeley’s Public Science Center, the Lawrence Hall of Science. Through this role she and her team engage children and families at the science center, in schools and in the community. Prior to her work with Lawrence, Reyna worked in the out-of-school time field directing middle school afterschool programs and state-funded child development programs. It is an intersection of her passions: child/youth development, working with diverse communities, supporting educators, and science-learning that has driven the direction of her career. Reyna lives in Solano County.
