David has over two decades of experience serving missions that focus on improving the well-being of youth and communities, creating equitable educational experiences, and empowering youth to be changemakers. 

Prior to BACR, David held executive roles at Playworks, One Love Foundation, and Aim High where he helped lead the organizations through periods of significant change and rapid growth. During his career, his responsibilities have spanned oversight of strategic and operational planning, program design and delivery, revenue generation, finance, and people operations. A common thread has been building an organizational culture where people can bring their authentic selves to work and where diversity, equity, and inclusion are continually worked on and authentically valued.

David lives in Oakland, CA with his wife and two young kids. In his spare time David can be found outside enjoying the Bay Area weather, playing with his kids, and passionately cheering for the Golden State Warriors every season.
