Supporting decisions that lead to a healthier future.

ReSET is a WIA-funded job training, work experience and leadership building program for youth eligible according to Federal “Out Of School Youth” designation.

Youth are recruited, interviewed, trained and given meaningful work experience, as well as ongoing support and case management. Upon entering into the program, youth participate in 80+ hours of job and life skills training over two months. Youth then work in their assigned positions for 10+ hours a week, plus they attend monthly workshops focused on job readiness, academics or life skills; such as SAT prep, college access, financial aid, financial literacy, resume writing, mock interviewing, etc. Youth will also set career, academic and personal goals for themselves and identify a plan to meet those goals.

The Benefits of ReSET:

  • Participants are placed in a youth-led “community”; positively influencing and supporting one another and holding each other accountable when necessary
  • Participants are given the opportunity to gain relevant work experience
  • Participants are taught academic, career and personal goal setting and monitoring
  • Participants receive support to navigate and overcome barriers
